About WAI & Our Chapter

About WAI

WAI is a nonprofit organization that began in 1994 and is dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests. This diverse membership is open to and includes astronauts, corporate pilots, maintenance technicians, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, high school and university students, air show performers, airport managers, and many others.

WAI provides year-round services to assist women in aviation and to encourage young women to consider aviation as a career. WAI also offers educational outreach programs to educators, aviation industry members, and young professionals nationally, as well as internationally.

About our Chapter

The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide Chapter offers all the benefits of WAI membership, in a virtual setting. Our members are located throughout the globe and offer a multitude of experience. In keeping with the true WAI spirit, the ERAU WW chapter offers the ability to learn about and discuss the latest trends in the industry, without geographic restrictions. Members can log in and join our meetings from virtually anywhere in the world.

Membership is open to those who currently work in or those who seek to be an aviation professional in the future. High school and college students welcome!
