Visiting Embraer Assembly Plant

Dr. Luis Gonzalez and Dr. Naiara Petralanda of the Aerospace Engineering department organized a field trip to the Embraer Assembly Plant in Melbourne, FL. ┬áDr. Gonzalez is the Assistant Professor for the department and the faculty adviser for the University's AIAA chapter. Embraer was founded in 1969 and is a private multinational company that designs, manufactures, and acquisitions aircraft and aircraft systems for both civil and military market segment. It is the world's biggest manufacturer of commercial jets of up to 120 seats.
